A little preview of B&T's wedding!

I know it is way longer than I anticipated,  but as u may have noticed, or not noticed :-), I have TERRIBLE luck with electronics...which is not the best thing to have, when you're trying to become a digital photographer!!!! BUT, (knock on wood) I do always seem to be able to get done what I intend to get done! Sooner or later!...

I have a few photos from the wedding that I took back in May. I'm calling it the B&T Wedding!

There will be more to come! I am getting my computer back today!!!! It has been in the shop for a very long time! And I am itching like crazy to get them edited!!! But, as of now, there are only 2 that I have sucessfully edited and I would love to share them with you! Hope u enjoy!!

Happy Mothers Day! and a little bit extra

hey everyone!

i hope everyone had a wonderful Mothers Day!!! i know i did, my son got me a huge card, with owls on it :0) he knows i just love owls! he traced his hands and feet (with the help of my mom!) and also gave me some chocolate candies! it was a wonderful day!

so, what have i been doing lately?! well, i've recently bought a house, yay! so i'm in the process of making it my own, which is sometimes hard when you're on a budget! i'm the type of person that, i like to buy old things and renovate them into something wonderful... which can totally end up costing more than just going out and buying something new lol. hopefully i will be having some cool diy tutorials to share with you in the next few months since the weather is fiinnnally getting a little nicer!

last sunday i was fortunate enough to have 2 beautiful 2014 Seniors participate in a Senior Rep Session that i did. and on friday i got to photograph my first bigger wedding! and let me tell you, I WAS SHAKING!!! i knew the groom through my part time job and his lovely {WIFE!!!} because she would come in and see him every once in a while! they are 2 very beautiful people, on the inside and out!  hopefully i will be having a few sneak peaks for you very very soon! (today if at all possible!!!)  they are in Irland right now on their honeymoon! so i hope to be surprising them with something very beautiful when they get home! yay!!!

i am so excited to start editing!!! and of course my computer is not working at the moment... uhhh i have THE WORST luck with technology, which totally sucks when you're trying to become a digital photographer lol.. but it always works out! i love what i do, and i love getting the chance to meet new and amazing people!

finally got a logo!

i was sure that i put this post up months ago, but i apparently forgot to press the publish button. so, you'll be getting 2 posts from me today!!

hi guys! long time no see...

well, i finally found myself a logo that i just couldn't live without. what do you think??!! i just love it! it's simple, and lovely, and just so darn cute. :0)

and i've been working on my computer and learning how to use Photoshop Elements 11 instead of Photoshop CS6 (that's what i used to learn P.S.).
here's a picture of my son that i edited using my new found skills on PSE11

it's always so fun to learn new things when dealing with pictures. but i'm also the type of person that, if i learn something one way, i'd really prefer to stick with that way of doing things. with the switch from PS CS6 to PSE 11 it's been a bit of a challenge, but most of the options that you have in PS CS6 are in PSE 11, you just have to go about looking for them in a different way! one thing that i have missed A LOT, and haven't been able to find is the "curves" adjustment layer. but i have been told that it is there... just gotta keep searching on!

on another note, we've been sort of getting ready for Christmas and the boy child and i got the tree put up FINALLY lol. seems like that took forEVER :0) but now that we got it put up it's just so pretty! i love shutting all the lights off at night and just sitting in the room with only the tree lit up. now that's a beautiful sight!

HI!!
so today i have some pictures to share with you! in our town, we have a night where the kids can go Trick-Or-Treating downtown. there is a 3 block area that is blocked off and the kids can run free [or as free as they can get while their parents are with them :0) ] anyhow back to my story lol, i decided to try and set up a background and see if i could get any costumers! i did end up getting a few kids that took pics!!! here they are!

this little guy is so cute! he was they cutest little tiger that night! adorable!

look at these little cheerleaders! they were so shy :0) just look at those smiles! 

 

Harry Potter put a spell on me! he was love love loving his costume! that little guy was fun!!

and of course, not to be rude or anything :0) but the CUTEST little firemen EVER!!!
my son and my nephew are so much alike lol best buddies!

helpful tips on how to be ready for your photo shoot!

hey ya'll!  I would like to share a few tips for my photo sessions!
-solid colors are the best for pictures. Layers work great to add color, texture and dimension. Avoid shorter sleeves if possible. U can also add patterns in small amounts. just know that solids work best!
-darker colors work well with lighter skin tones.
-lighter colors work well with darker skin tones.
-check your undies! Wear nude colors :0) not white / patterns!

-hands will be in pics (diff in senior photos) so make sure to get ur nails did! trimmed, cleaned and lookin gorgeous!
-avoid sunburn/tan lines
-necklines : www.greatestlook.com/advice/face-shape-neckline.html is a great place for advice on finding the perfect neckline for you!
-ladies...bring extra make-up! May need a touch-up as we go.

Shaya Senior Pictures!

shaya is one of my very good friends daughter, she is such a wonderful person and it was a real peach having her be my first Senior Picture!  here are a few of the pictures that we took.. there are A LOT more! but this is what u get for now! enjoy!

little miss kylie anne

heller again!

    this photo session is of kylie! a wonderfully bouncy little four year old! if you read my earlier post i mentioned that lil miss kylie here is one of my sons best friends and that her mommy is also one of my best friends! so this was a very fun shoot! took the boy child along for the ride and they even ended up takin some pics together at the end! it was so cute.. anyhow, gettin off track!

     we played with chalk, and ran around... we even took a, non photographed, ice cream break! now that i think about it, i probably should've takin the "messy ice cream faced" pictures.. awww shucks... next time!!! well here are a few!
